Welcome to Scout! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Scout SMS reminder service operated by RebTed LLC ("we," "our," or "us"). By using Scout, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

Scout is an SMS-based birthday and event reminder service. You provide us with names and dates, and we send you text message reminders. The service operates entirely via SMS - there is no app to download.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Scout. By using our service, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. SMS Terms and Consent

By texting JOIN to Scout and replying YES to confirm, you expressly consent to receive recurring automated text messages from Scout at the phone number you used to sign up. This includes:

Message frequency: Varies based on the dates you save. Typically 1-10 messages per month.

Message and data rates may apply. Check with your carrier for details.

To opt out: Text STOP at any time to unsubscribe from all messages.

4. Account and Pricing

Free tier: You may save up to 5 dates at no cost. You will receive day-of reminders for each date.

Pro subscription: $4.99 per month. Includes unlimited dates, advance reminders, and gift suggestions. You can upgrade by texting UPGRADE and completing payment through our secure checkout.

Billing: Pro subscriptions are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time by managing your subscription through the link we provide. Upon cancellation, you retain access to Pro features until the end of your billing period.

Refunds: We do not offer refunds for partial months of service.

Scout and its content, features, and functionality are owned by RebTed LLC and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Scout is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that reminders will be delivered on time or at all due to factors outside our control, including but not limited to carrier delays, phone settings, or service outages.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RebTed LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use Scout, including but not limited to missed reminders or forgotten dates.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via text message or by posting the updated Terms on our website. Your continued use of Scout after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Termination

You may stop using Scout at any time by texting STOP. We may suspend or terminate your access to Scout at our discretion if you violate these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
